The rules for this event are similar to the rules and arrangements for most events, but there are a few differences, so please read carefully:
*There are bathroom facilities near the Registration/Start/Finish
*There will be no water on the course, but there will be refreshments and snacks at the Finish
*Pre-registration can be done via e-mail to me, and non-member payment can be made via EMPO’s PayPal account, or bring cash or check
* Prices are normal for EMPO entries: members are free, and $10 for non-members
There will be 3 courses; all controls are SAIC enabled:
White/Yellow – 2.2k, 10 controls
Brown/Orange – 3.8k, 12 controls
Red/Green – 5.1k, 14 controls
Registration/Start/Finish will be at a picnic table near the restroom facilities across from the playground area, about halfway around the park road loop. If it is raining, registration will be out of the tailgate of my car nearby.

Directions from pretty much anywhere are simple: go to the junction of US 20 and NY 146 in Guilderland; head south a bit and the Park will be on your left (east) side. Drive in and circle about 270 degrees, and the playground and parking will be on your right.
For any coming from the south, just head north on NY 146, and the Park will be on your right.
A few words about the map: it has not yet been converted to the 2017 symbol set. The only obvious place this makes a difference is with the rootstock symbols. They are still the former brown X’s with brown trunk lines, not the new brown triangle. Also, there are new rootstocks from recent storms which are not mapped, and some of the trails can be hard to see as the leaves begin to fall.
Please note: You may not use the highway bridge to cross from one side of the map to the other. There is a pedestrian bridge on the map connecting the trails!
