We had a beautiful day, enjoyed by a modest group of 20 competitors, with several newcomers! The GO control may have been a bit of a problem, with some briars along the overgrown ride/powerline; the trail to the first control on the Long course was pretty overgrown and hidden if you didn’t notice the blue trail marker; one control was knocked out of place, presumably by animals (thanks to Jill for finding it); one SI stick was lost (and paid for); and two controls on the Long course weren’t synced correctly (and I’m not going to try to recreate those splits). In spite of those problems, it was all good!
Thanks to Sue for helping me with placing the controls after I had bad back day, and for picking up a few. Thanks to all who came; there was a lot of good conversation and learning going on. All in all, it seemed like everyone had a fun time.
