Despite predictions of rain, it all turned out pretty much OK, if rather slow skiing. There was one somewhat misplaced control (one intersection off), and another that was a bit problematic due to snow depth issues. Ohterwise, all went well, and everyone seems to have had fun despite any issues.
We had a couple of entries from families who were already there and were new to Ski-O. They seemed interested in coming again, but unfortunately I failed to get their e-mails, as we had no Registration forms, and I didn’t think to ask them to provide them to me. If by any chance Garnet Hill has them, it would be nice to get them.
Sorry about not having the printout machine working; but I now know the problem (not enough older USB inputs to my newer laptop), so that shouldn’t happen again.
Thanks for coming. And of course big thanks to Aims for putting this on, and giving great awards. And for gifting me (EMPO) the VGA to HDMI adapter!
I hope to see you again soon at EMPO’s first Spring event at Margaret Burke WMA on Saturday, April 11.
-Phil
And a note from Event Organizer Aims Coney:
Thank you for coming! It’s been six years since I last put on a Garnet Hill ski-o and I’m incredibly grateful to Phil and Josh Yeaton for updating the map so I could do it again. Garnet is a challenging place to design courses and I appreciate that you accepted the remote start without complaint.
