October 31, Crandall Park
Thanks to everyone who came out to participate in the meet on a beautiful fall day! We had 37 starters across categories, and I heard some good discussion afterwards about route selection and whether trails vs cutting through the woods was the better option. Hopefully it was fun for everyone to try to evaluate while on the move. We did have a slight glitch with the colors on the maps that made the parking lots/fields hard to distinguish and made the green sections a little bit bluer than intended, but it sounded like it wasn’t too big a deal – sorry to those I didn’t warn ahead of time!
A big thanks to all of my helpers, I could not have done it without you! Phil Hawkes-Teeter helped with the maps and courses, Phil and Sue Hawkes-Teeter helped with setup and equipment, and Laszlo Kolyvek, Gabor Bobok, Janet Findlay, and David Hunter helped with control pickup and packing everything up.
