In a marginal winter, you gotta take what you can get. The skiing was actually pretty decent at Lapland, with some places very fast, and others somewhat slow. We had to make few course adjustments on the fly, but all in all it worked out quite well. We had several first-time Ski-Oers, all succeeded (or chose to cut off a bit), and I hope we’ll see them all again. Speaking of which, contrary to our expectations, the Empire State Games Ski-O is ON! But registration closes tomorrow (Sunday!) so get to it!
Thanks to all who came, despite the potentially problematic conditions. And a very big thanks to Paul and Kathy (and staff) at Lapland, who could not have been more accommodating.
