Registration Deadlines: Early – closes Dec. 8 at midnight;
Regular – closes Jan. 22 at midnight;
Late – closes Jan. 27 at midnight.
All entries after Jan. 27 must register in person on day of race at the “Late” rate.
Registration and payment for the 2025 ESG Ski-O must be done through OUSA’s Event Reg (see link above). You cannot register or pay through the Empire State Winter Games website.
Payment can be made online through PayPal or by check (in USD), made payable to Empire Orienteering Club, and mailed to Janet Findlay, 4959 Cascade Road, Lake Placid, NY, 12946.
Participants registering in other ESG events (such as biathlon or cross country) can not claim the multi-event discount through EventReg. They must pay for their ski-o events in full and claim the discount on the other sport’s registration site.
We encourage you to purchase the 2 or 3 race package since single event fees are very high. This is because the ESG organization is charging a fixed fee per athlete regardless of the number of races they enter.
Your registration fee includes day use fees for Scott’s Cobble, Mt Van Hoevenberg and Dewey Mt. Recreation Area, along with an ESG jacket.
Your jacket must be picked up at ESG Headquarters at the Conference Center, 2634 Main St. in Lake Placid – more details here.
Please note this is a different arrangement than in the past few years! It’s first come, first served for the jackets so we suggest picking yours up as early as possible to ensure you get the size you want.
Participants are encouraged to take part in other Empire State Games events such as the Opening Ceremonies. Information about the Opening Ceremonies and other ESG events can be found here.
Should the ski-o event be cancelled due to adverse weather conditions a portion of the pre-paid registration fee will be refundable while the remainder will be deferred until next year’s Empire State Winter Games.
