Wednesday, Feb. 1
Athlete check-in for Empire State Games opens – see times and locations here.
Please note Ski-O athletes need to go to the ESG check-in at the Golden Arrow Resort ONLY if they need to pick up credentials before Friday at the Sprint event; otherwise you will get your credentials when checking in for the Sprint event at Casdcade.
You will need credentials before Friday if you wish to ski at Mt. van Hoevenberg, do the model course or use the waxing facilities at any time on Thursday or Friday.
If you pick up your credentials early, DO NOT pick up an ESG jacket at the same time! All Ski-O participants will get their jackets when checking in on Friday at Cascade Welcome Center (or at your first event if not attending the Sprint). This is different than past years; the procedure has been changed to ensure all Ski-O participants receive the jacket size they specified when registering.
Thursday – Sunday, Feb. 2-5
Model Course open at Mt. Van Hoevenberg, south side of Bobsled Lane.
More information about Model course is here. Please print out your own copy of the Model map as there will be none on site.
Note that the trails north of Bobsled Lane are out of bounds until after Friday’s Sprint event.
Parking is in the lots at the end of Bobsled Lane. Pre-registered participants may ski free of charge, providing they have their ESG credentials with them. All other skiers, family members, etc. must buy a Van Ho day pass in the Mountain Pass Lodge.
Model course will be set up on south side of Bobsled Lane.
Waxing facilities located in first lot on left near the end of Bobsled Lane.
